Peace Be With You

...a retreat for bereaved parents

Visions of Christ through the eyes of George Anderson.

Since I have owned the painting of Jesus Christ for a while, I am ready to share this wonderful work of art with all of you. Selling this painting will help raise money for BEREAVED PARENTS.

The mission of the retreat is helping bereaved parents of any age and any denomination. Unfortunately, we are in this club that no one wants to be in. Thank God most parents will never suffer through the loss of a child. So I'm asking all parents to contribute and be a part of making this retreat a reality.

If you are not interested in a print, but would like to just send a donation it would be greatly appreciated. By doing so we will list the name of your loved one on our memorial page of our website and you will also be allowed to share the story of your loved one with others.

I would just like to take this time to thank those of you for your donation to the George Anderson Bereavement Retreat. And for those of you that have bought a portrait of Jesus we thank you and hope that where ever you place Jesus he brings you comfort. And may peace be with you Always.

About The Artist

Doug Didia graduated from Center for Creative Studies in 1980 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. As a versatile freelance artist working in the Detroit area for over 25 years, he has enjoyed many types of challenges in the advertising and fine arts field. His award winning artwork has ranged from technical automotive illustration to commissioned portrait work.

George Anderson was in the Detroit area giving discernments in June of 1996. Jim O’Reilly searched for a local artist to work with George while he was in town. Doug took on this project not knowing of George Anderson or whom he was going to draw.

When asked, Doug reflected, “This was a unique challenge, to develop, sketch, and establish a likeness and create a final painting based on verbal descriptions from George Anderson”. Much like a police sketch artist, George described his visions while Doug took notes, listened intently, and sketched. He went over details and features and asked many questions. With approval and art direction from George they have evolved over time into variations and versions of art. They are an ongoing exploration of efforts to bring about what George sees.”
